Jane is a writer interested in any and every idea, engaged in creative writing, scientific writing and singer-songwriting. She lives in Gibbston, on a six hectare property she and her partner have spent many hours landscaping.

Broken is Beautiful is Jane's first novel, published in 2023. She has published a weekly blog since 2020 (www.janeshearer.com/blog), initially focusing on COVID during the depths of the pandemic, now considering taking a light-hearted view of the many dilemmas in the current world.

Jane has worked with hundreds of researchers and also community organisations, helping them get funding to do what they love to do through writing that sits on the border between non-fiction and fiction.
