Town meets country in one of New Zealand’s most spectacular settings!

The 110th Lake Hayes A&P show will be held at the Lake Hayes Showgrounds on 10 January 2026.  This year’s theme, ‘Paddock to Pantry’, will shine a spotlight on our local food – from the farmers and growers who produce it, to the delicious creations that fill our pantries (and tummies).

This event is organised by the community, for the community.  So gather a crew of family and friends for a celebration of rural life, agriculture and community spirit.   Whether you’re passionate about farming, all about the horses, a keen foodie, or simply looking for a fun-filled family day, there’s something for everyone.

The best of equestrian

Enjoy the skill and thrill of showjumping and other equestrian events (including a hobby horse event!).

A showcase of local livestock

Celebrate the local agricultural industry with shearing demonstrations, animal and farm machinery displays, and much more.

Introducing.. the Lake Hayes Larder

Proudly supported by Duncan Cotteril Lawyers, the Lake Hayes Larder is a brand-new attraction for the show.  It’s the ultimate foodie zone celebrating local artisan food and drink, including tasting stalls, foodie activities and live cooking demos.

Queenstown Airport Kidzone

Back by popular demand, the Queenstown Airport Kidzone offers free fun for the entire family, including the Big Dig and Scavenger Hunt, a magician, lawn games, face painting and much more.

Home Industries & Produce

From traditional baking and homemade preserves to fresh produce, cut flowers, arts, and crafts – see how locally grown products are transformed into pantry favourites and creative displays.

Exhibits & Demonstrations

A huge range of businesses and community groups exhibit at the Lake Hayes Show, some have been returning every year since the 1990’s!

Food and general entertainment

Market Lane is back, featuring a wide variety of local food vendors.  Enjoy a bite to eat while taking in some live entertainment.
