Outside lines is an exhibition in which a group of six artists transcend their familiar practices to embrace experimentation and push the boundaries of what their audience expects to reveal compelling new directions in their work.
The Artists are all Whakatipu locals, with established practices and are well known in the Arts scene. They have taken this opportunity to push the boundaries of what they do and take it Outside their Lines of material, subject, skill, and meaning.
The group includes two painters, Emma Peers and Andie King, Susan Cleaver, a Conceptual Photographic Artist, and three who work in three dimensions, Jasmine Clark, a contemporary basketmaker and sculptor, potter Louise Parker, and contemporary jeweller Anna Claire.
The exhibition opens on the 10th of September at 5:30pm at the Lakes District Museum in Arrowtown and will run for 5 weeks. The Artists are grateful to the Central Lakes Trust and Creative Communities for their support.
