Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Puppet Art Workshop for Kids – School Holiday Programme (30 June–11 July 2025)
Join local artist and arts facilitator Eric Lim for a fun, hands-on creative adventure these school holidays! In this playful and educational workshop, kids will design and build their very own moving-mouth puppets using recycled cardboard and sustainable materials. With themes like animals, robots, silly characters and pirates, each session introduces storytelling, character design, and basic puppet mechanics—perfect for curious, crafty young minds.
Held in a small group setting for more focused guidance, this workshop encourages imagination, problem-solving and screen-free creativity. Morning and afternoon sessions feature different themes, so full-day bookings mean double the fun with two totally unique puppets.
Spaces are limited to 6 kids per session, so early booking is essential.
