School Holiday Arts Programme

Te Atamira's Arts Holiday Programme is back with two weeks of hands-on creative adventures for tamariki aged 5–7 and 8–13. With classes running from Monday 28 September - Friday 9 October from 9am, extended hours available.

At Te Atamira, each day is led by experienced artists and educators and is packed with opportunities to create, play, and explore through a range of art forms.

This school holiday programme is extra special, with many activities inspired by the incredible At the World's Edge (AWE) Festival, which will be taking over Te Atamira during these weeks. Children will immerse themselves in music, movement, storytelling, and visual arts, inspired by artists and performances from around the world.

Whether they're painting, building, performing,or experimenting with new materials, every day encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence, giving tamariki the freedom to express themselves and bring their own ideas to life in a fun, supportive environment.

You can find the full programme with our schedule of sessions and blurbs about each session at the link.

Some key points are below but you will be asked to read and agree to full terms and conditions at time of booking. Please ensure you do this.

  • Sign-in / Sign-out: Parents and caregivers must sign their child in and out with a staff member each day. Please ensure you see a staff member before leaving your child or taking them home, so we know they have arrived and departed safely.
  • Behaviour Expectations: We expect all children to behave respectfully and follow staff instructions so that everyone can enjoy a safe and positive programme. If a child’s behaviour repeatedly disrupts the programme or affects others, staff may contact parents to discuss next steps.
  • Additional Needs: When booking, you will be asked to let us know about any behavioural, health, or learning needs your child may have. Please share this information at the time of booking so we can support your child to have a safe and positive experience. We are always happy to talk about how we can best support your child—feel free to email us or speak with a staff member at sign-in.
  • Children booked onto a full day programme will be supervised during lunch break, please provide a packed lunch.
  • Children booked onto the extended day option will be supervised for a wind-down after a busy day crafting and creating.
