Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Winter Pride is a festival in a small town with a bold heart. Each year, we come together to celebrate love, community, diversity, visibility, safety, and inclusion. It is a festival that not only encourages our rainbow community, but also invites the entire town to come together and celebrate diversity.
This year's festival dates are the 22 August - 1 September.
11 days packed with amazing events, with talent lineups including some of our best-loved Australasian DJs, dance parties, skiing, snow boarding and mountain walks, the festival is the perfect week for people to show their true selves in an accepting, supportive and fun community.
Our annual week of festivities includes a huge variety of both on and off-mountain events ensuring there's something for everyone. Our shows and creative events provide an amazing array of entertainment and our community series gives back to local youth and charities. Join us for 11 days of celebration!
